This just in:
Today at preschool a boy kissed Claire's hand. According to Katy she seemed quite pleased about it. She said "I've never had one of my friends kiss my hand before, mommy!"
Hmm.
I did not realize that I would be shopping for a shotgun quite so soon.

I told you your time would come.
Advice from those that have gone before:
Be sure to get a pump action... the cycling of the action is the only warning some folks need.
Better practice your scowling. The fear of what "dad" will do keeps them a bit in line.
Set the rules early.

Dean,
Your advice is sound. But the schadenfreude is unbecoming, especially when you have girls of your own to contend with.
Ok, ok - I'll save you the Google search:
Function: noun
Usage: often capitalized
Etymology: German, from Schaden damage + Freude joy
Date: 1895
: enjoyment obtained from the troubles of others

I have one! You can borrow it! Why buy when you can borrow!

Freude! [shouted at the top of your lungs!]

I can see it now: Claire will be the only 17-year old girl on the beach dressed in long-johns and overalls. Of course, my granddaughters will be the only 20-year old, 18-year old, and 15-year old girls dressed the same way. Hey Brad, maybe we can buy in bulk and save a few bucks!

A Remington shotgun, while effective, may not intimidate today's youth. Something like this may do the trick.
