Siege Mentality
As I type this, the kids are outside playing with their new homemade catapult.
Katy and Cameron started building it yesterday, and I helped finish it up today. There's nothing that can throw a wet sponge square farther than a homemade catapult.
Good luck storming the castle!
Of course, this inspired me to build a larger model trebuchet. It needs work though.

... or a rock toward a window... oops... good thing they don't read this...

Well, I was able to get it to throw a wet sponge about eight feet. I don't think you could break a window with this thing unless you picked it up and threw it.

I believe what was being referred to was the infamous Pusateri-garage-window Incident.

Oh that. True.
Maybe I should rethink the Home Defense Trebuchet.

Wow!
Between you and Dean (see http://thompsonian.org/cgi-bin/mt/mt-tb.cgi/439) the future of engineering looks pretty bright!
(Although I'm still waiting to see a lego cable-car from Cameron that surpasses what his father constructed in his childhood.)

Why are your children playing in a "hard hat only" area?
